I have always had a destination course for creativity. Now that I am in my "tweens" between youngster and oldster, I have landed at my true destination. Creative Art Journaling.

Joy Is.......A Breather From The Day Job
Whew! What a crazeeee week. I was gone all week and it was a hard one. My day job gets stranger by the day. In reality, as long as everyone does THEIR JOBS the way it is designed, I will be OK. If not, then my day job is in jeopardy. Sigh....
This is a short post, because even though it is the weekend, I must work. When you are asked, "What are you doing at midnight on Saturday?" there is an under lining message you need to be hearing, and until I am financially wealthy, I need to listen to it!
I leave you with an outside shot of Maria's Art Studio in Niles!!
Have a great weekend and week.

Joy Is......The Town of Niles
So since I actually took a ton of photos last weekend, and have been flooding them on you this week, thought I would add some more.
Niles is a very small community nestled within the edges of Fremont. I believe it's claim to fame is that Charlie Chaplin actually lived here for awhile. I don't know too much else except the movie The Little Tramp was filmed in Niles or at least a part of it was. They hold a Charlie Chaplin Days celebration each year in June and they have this great Museum where they show Silent Films all year long for a very small donation. Too cool! Here is a shot of the Museum:
I didn't get to go through it but would like to someday. Here are some more shots around town:
I saw the Devil's Workshop & Mercantile and really wondered what could happen behind those doors! Maybe someday I will find out.
And here is one more shot of Maria's Studio I left out last time:
This is the complete cabinet where she keeps most of her art journals and really really old books! Oh I wanted to get in there, but did not ask permission this time. Maybe when I return someday soon I hope.
So I will leave you again as my 3 day weekend is winding down to an end and tomorrow my day begins before 5:00am. Yikes!
Have a great week folks!

Joy Is.....The Actual Kelly Class Journal Pics
5 classes = 3 Journals
I did most of the pages in the first journal we made so I would end up with one journal with quite a few completed pages in it.
Just a plug for Kelly.
She is willing to travel just about any where to teach. If you enjoy working with lots of collage and playing with TAPE and more tape and making new forever arty friends, then Kelly's classes are what you should be taking. Kelly puts her heart and soul into her classes to make them enjoyable for her students. You will never be disappointed. Email her and get some classes started in your area. Kelly is the BESTEST!

Joy Is.........A Sneaky Peek to a Fabulous Arty Weekend
Just a small peek into my weekend that was spent with the great Kelly Kilmer. Friday, Saturday and Sunday we had 5, count them, 5 journal creation classes! Woot!! This is my third trip around the classroom with Kelly and I will never stop. Kelly is the most patient instructor I have ever taken classes from.
Just check out this table full of TAPE!!!
Kelly brings all of her own tapes with her for us to play with. Nothing is off limits, NOTHING!
Lots of fun and lots of laughs reuniting with "Kelly's Gang" in Niles.
I called this post a Sneaky Peek as it is short. I apologize, but it is early Monday morning and I should be trying to wrap my brain around work again, but I will post the other photo's I took soon.
Hope your weekend was fabulous!

Joy Is.......The Day Job That Lets Me Travel
Hi folks, while everyone is busy watching the Super Bowl, I decided it was a good time to get my post done.
This past week found me in Morro Bay at the Ocean. Morro Bay is close to San Luis Obispo and has a landmark, called the Rock for this reason:
This shot is from my hotel window. It is very beautiful, and this one is zoomed from the same place:
But this one is the best, since I drove only 2 blocks to the edge of the water to take it:
Absolutely gorgeous!!
These were taken on Tuesday morning when the sun was shining bright, but this next one was taken on Wednesday morning when it was foggy:
Still beautiful.
Other than that I had a very sucessful time working and visiting with the manager down there who is interested in my art journals. We met Linda Ortiz on Tuesday afternoon, the artist who lives in Morro Bay and who had a piece in the last Cloth Paper Scissors. I showed her my journals and she showed us hers. She is a very talented artist, and I loved her beautiful journals. She teaches art classes in San Luis Obispo most Wednesday evenings and Susan was suppose to go to Linda's class on Wednesday night. I have not talked to her since, but hope to this week, to find out how she liked it. She is interested in Art Journaling. As we left the resturant after our meet up, this greeted us:
A very nice sunset! Ahhh, and I was glad I had my camera.
So this time next Sunday I will just be home from a complete weekend of art. I am taking Kelly Kilmer's classes in Fremont all weekend!! WOOT! I promise to tell you all about it and take pics. I promise!
Bye!!

Writing on the Wall
I have missed at least 2 weeks of WOTW for my friend Cheryl. So here is my submission.
I went to Morro Bay this week to conduct an audit. Not the happiest thing in the world to do, but I had to and it took me to the ocean which is a few blocks from the office.
This is the wall on the outside of our office there. Cool! Don't know why it is painted like this, but it is and it is a wall.
Check back tomorrow for the "Rock" pics that is Morro Bay's landmark.
Until then go to Cheryl's WOTW this week and cruise.
