Arting Away the Game and Decisions

Well since I am not the biggest football fan, I am arting away the game. Of course I don't even know if it is on yet. But I don't care.

I have made 7 pages in my journal since last Wednesday. Woo Hoo!! I have 6 more pages to complete until this one is pretty much finished and then I will move on to another journal. This time I am thinking about a composition notebook. I have one that I have already glued two pages together all of the way through to give them some strength so I use paint, watercolor's, etc on them.

I made a commitment to myself when I started this blog a couple of years ago that I would use it to share my art journaling and art activities with the other blogger's out there that decided to follow me. I feel I have kept up my end of the bargain, by posting almost once every week, usually on the weekend since my day job takes so much out of me. But today with 37 follower's, I still only get 1 to 3 comments each week. I guess since I always leave comments on blogs I follow, that I assumed the same would hold for my followers if they stopped by. I have been rethinking this blog stuff, but today I have not made a hard decision whether it stays or goes.

I made many new friends in the art journaling world last July when I began watching Ustreams of folks journaling live. And that led into Twitter, where I made even more friends and since I have no real journal buddy's close by except Lotus, who I seldom see even though she lives 2 miles away and my fiend Cheryl who had to move to Washington, because she lost her job here, I treasure those friendship's online. I don't expect everyone to leave comments all of the time when they stop by, but I would like to know that someone is looking once in a while.

Enough soapbox and feeling sorry for myself stuff. My I T Tech person is coming back next Friday and before he is allowed to do anything HE wants to do I have a list of stuff I need hinm to work on for me! Number 1 is why does my laptop freeze every time I try to download pictures from my camera!! UGH!!

So until that is resolved and I can once again show you my journal pics, I leave you th another cool video I found on YT. I call it Corrugated Animation that I dedicated to my friend Paula Phillips who is a Safety Manager for a box factory, how cool is that? And she is The Journal Artista. Please Google her name and check her out and say, WOW!!

Until next weekend..............enjoy,

I often feel sorry for myself like this, too, so you are definitely not alone, Sharon. I know I'm not the best to comment but I'm so sporadic on the internet these days that I'm not around much...I'm almost NEVER on Twitter anymore at all. I saw that I was spending so much time online that I wasn't getting any creating done. I get like that in winter, very depressed and down in the dumps. Blah, blah, blah...but you know what I mean.

Anyway, don't blog for the comments or really for anyone else but you. I have almost 260 subscribers and have had a post sitting for days and it still has no comments. Eh, who cares. I decided a while back that I was going to blog for ME. A way to keep up with what I'm doing and basically an online journal of sorts. No more caring about who reads, who comments and if I'm popular enough among my peers. Phooey on all that. It takes up too much of my time and after my heart attack, time is way to precious to let it get eaten up with that crazy stuff.

Anyway, just know that I read...I might be irregular about it but I do read. And you know I love ya, girlfriend. One day I might even finish up the blog makeover for you that I have started in a file on my laptop. lol (Forgive me?)

Peace & Love,

I read your blog posts with great ANTICIPATION. Sorry I don't comment more often. I think Barb is right about blogging for yourself. I'm hoping you get your camera-to-computer fixed soon. Pics of what you're doing are most APPRECIATED. Luv ya, girl friend.

And the Green Bay Packers won 31-25!

Aw CB...
I'm sorry I'm one of those that don't comment much. I'm kind of feeling Barb that I spend my spare time online and not creating like I should. Not like I have much time to create either, but hey! lol!

Don't give up on the blog Sharon! I think you'll feel better once you get your pics up again. I like reading your blog!

I was reading a book the other day about blogging that said that 90% of blog readers are "surfers" who never comment. So just keep that in mind...your message is getting out there, even if people aren't commenting. Barb is right. Blog for YOU. Keep your heart full, and your message will shine through. Don't give up! :)

And I too, arted the game away. Football, blah. Gimme my glitter pens!!!! lol
